London Day
A trip to the UK would not be complete without a visit to the bustling capital city of London. During the 'London Day' all Headington Oxford Summer School students will have a chance to see famous tourist attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square. There will be time to soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant and historical city as well as time to pick up a few souvenirs. The students will also get a panoramic view of London from a ride on the iconic London Eye and there will even be dinner at a London restaurant before heading back to the school.
London Cultural Experience
As well as the 'London Day', we also offer the 'London Cultural Experience', enabling students to enjoy the cultural variety that London has to offer. The day begins with a fascinating morning at the world-famous exhibitions of the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. Students will have the chance to inspect dinosaur skeletons, fly a jet in a flight simulator or get close to a blue whale. Afterwards, students will explore the Royal Borough of Knightsbridge, renowned for its shopping and the home of Harrods. The day will be rounded off with dinner at a London restaurant.
